Dreams of the most vivid kind
shatter as I come back to life

As I return, I spot something particular,
through lid-chapped eyes

Paralyzed and damn near dead,
this will surely be my end
Lost in Oceans of ripped blue,
held down by glacial glue

I bite down and start to pry,
as teeth chip with muffled cries

Raw icy chapped-lips;
cracked, split, and achy
Tooth after tooth breaks,
as I swallow the flakes

With purple-black finger tips
and blood turned frigid,
it starts to sync in:
